ODAS Format

1.ODAS metadata format offered by the JCOMM-I meeting

ODAS metadata standards were developed by the Subgroup on Marine Climatology to descript the data from such ocean data acquisition systems as moored and drift buoys, offshore platform and so on. They focus on the descriptions of original features of observing data, especially the environmental features in data collecting, for example, the features of observing platforms and instruments (precision, technical norms, conditions, state, etc.), the feature of data transmission, conditions for sensor operation and their parameters. For details, please download following document.

2.Format of ODAS metadata base

ODAS metadata base has been designed and built by ODAS Metadata Management Center. The ODAS database format is based on the contents of ODAS metadata offered by the JCOMM-I meeting. Additional three fields are added into the HR (Header Record), that is, ltd (latest date), ltlon (latest longitude) and ltlat (latest latitude), to describe the latest status of platforms. For details, please download following documents.

3.The definition of ODAS XML Schema

ODAS XML Schema has been defined and used by ODAS Metadata Management Center. They are compatible with the ODAS metadata base. For details, please download following document.
